Sports Medicine
In addition to general, dental, and emergency vet services and surgery, the clinic operates a state-of-the-art digital x-ray machine with a Canon plate to provide exceptional imaging, as well as an Exago ultrasound with tendon probe for soft tissue evaluation in the successful diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of illness and injury affecting show and performance horses.
Sports Medicine
In addition to general, dental, and emergency vet services and surgery, the clinic operates state-of-the-art digital x-ray machines and ultrasound equipment for exceptional imaging quality in the successful evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of illness and injury affecting show and performance horses.
Reproduction and Infertility Services.
Responsibly, effectively, and passionately breeding the next generation of performance horses through advanced reproductive techniques, HVS employs various innovative therapies, tools, and technologies in the treatment of infertility, embryo transfer, ICSI, fresh/frozen insemination, and the breeding and monitoring of mares through routine and high-risk pregnancies.
A Stable Relationship.
Established in 2007 by Dr. Brian Heide, HVS encompasses all aspects of equine veterinary medicine and reproductive services – provided both in-clinic and on-farm – as well as the care and maintenance of beef cattle and cattle herd production. Boasting a sizeable footprint as well as longevity of services, the clinic features an exam and procedure area with stocks for horses, a knockdown room for routine surgical procedures, a barn with indoor box stalls and spacious individual mare pens, pipe fenced paddocks for larger groups, and an isolation area for sick calves.
Veterinary Services.
From thorough examination of the sick, injured or lame, to ambulatory farm calls and emergency after-hours care, Heide Veterinary Services is committed to the health and well-being of every breed, type, and nature of horse.
In addition to these services, HVS provides dental health, preventive care for all life stages, and sports and performance medicine for competition horses.
Bovine Veterinary Services.
Includes services such as obstetrics, pregnancy checking, breeding soundness exams on bulls, and herd health visits.
In addition to equine health care, Heide Veterinary Services holds extensive knowledge and experience in cow, calf, and feedlot medicine and production. All bovine services are performed on-farm through ambulatory calls, with the exception of IV therapy performed at the clinic.
