Infertility Treatments

HVS provides clients with cutting edge therapies, technologies, and procedures to get lower fertility mares into foal. The clinic also utilizes leading diagnostic tools to help determine the cause and degree of infertility. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Diagnosis and treatment of bacterial, fungal, and post-breeding endometritis
  • Blocked oviducts
  • Chemical curettage of uterine lining
  • Pneumovagina
  • Immunotherapy
  • Hormone therapy for cycling, conception, and maintenance of pregnancy

ICSI
(Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection)

An advanced reproductive technique whereby equine oocytes are retrieved from a mare via transvaginal ultrasound guided needle aspiration (TVA / OPU) of follicles.

Sports Medicine

In addition to general, dental, and emergency vet services and surgery, the clinic operates a state-of-the-art digital x-ray machine with a Canon plate to provide exceptional imaging, as well as an Exago ultrasound with tendon probe for soft tissue evaluation in the successful diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of illness and injury affecting show and performance horses.

Artificial Insemination

Mares are housed at the clinic and monitored throughout their cycle in order to be bred at the appropriate time with fresh or frozen semen.
